Correspondence Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Relationship

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists delayed my talk don't think I can make the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent helper".

These messages were released on this week alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. The BBC managed to establish his identity by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his podcast recently, he said: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a aide.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The published messages also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so people see the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the people over here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally toppled in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told media: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed this week after the release of over 20,000 documents from his archives.
