American performer Finn, who featured in popular programs such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in LA recently after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, per reports.
"He never met a stranger - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones shared in a statement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a social organizer known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
The actor is remembered by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his family.
