Manchester United against Brighton & Hove Albion – Premier League Match Report

Preamble

Manchester United, coming off victories against Liverpool and Sunderland, look to make it three consecutive successes in a row tonight. They have momentum managed by Ruben Amorim for the very first time!

Only problem is, Brighton are the Seagulls, who have won on each of their last three trips at the Theatre of Dreams, and six of the last seven League meetings in this rivalry.

Despite United’s form; it’s been straightforward very comfortable. Having said all that, Brighton are otherwise famously erratic similar to their opponents, making this match intriguing and possibly highly entertaining.

The match begins at 5.30pm BST and we say this for the last time in a while as the clocks go back this evening, kids. Let’s go!

Squad Updates

Man Utd have made two adjustments following last week’s victory against Liverpool. Šeško starts instead of Mount, who drops to the bench, while last week’s win-securing hero Harry Maguire doesn’t feature entirely, Yoro replaces him in defence.

He sustained a knock in midweek sessions. Malacia returns on the bench this campaign.

Brighton have made one change following victory at home versus Newcastle. Seemingly a tactical shift, swapping in De Cuyper replacing Gómez, on the bench.

The striker, formerly of United to win the Premier League in 2012-13, visits his old club on a hot streak with four recent goals, one more than he’d managed over his last 15 matches.

Leading Stories

Amorim is unfazed for the opinions of the Reds’ manager … yet Welbeck is mindful regarding the plans by the former Chelsea manager.

It is widely discussed that this match may influence their respective fortunes as the Premier League unfolds.

Ones to watch are Bruno Fernandes from the hosts and the Brighton forward for the visitors, both in fine form recently.
