Devoted followers of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway accompanied by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by event staff.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile features recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.
"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.
Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further comment on Instagram.
A number of supporters also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.
In clips circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.
Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
Numerous of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.
The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two contrasting sorceresses.
The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.
They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, securing several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
