Uche Sparks Dominant Palace Triumph at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Despite embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the last 16, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Moment

This occasion provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
